It’s unlikely that Valorant will come to macOS. It’s not good news for people who bought the new Macs.Ĭertainly, the M1 chips are powerful enough to run a game like Valorant but the services are just not compatible at the moment. Unfortunately, there are no plans for a Mac edition of Valorant. Valorant also needs a constant internet connection. While you can download Valorant with those tools, it won’t open because it requires the anti-cheat service. You need a legitimate installation of Windows for Valorant to work. Vanguard also will not run on virtual machines or emulators, such as Parallels or Crossover. You can’t play Valorant on an M1 Mac because Vanguard, the anti-cheat service, is not compatible with the macOS. For the best performance, lower it to 1920 x 1080, or even lower. Tip: Don’t use the native resolution for games. So if you still have an Intel Mac lying around, it’s worth giving Crossover a shot. The last Intel Mac, the 2020 i5 MacBook Pro, can run Valorant with Bootcamp relatively well, with 100+ FPS at low graphics. Older Macs (2016 and earlier) with slow CPUs will struggle the most. While you can get Valorant to run on old Macs, the performance is not the best, and frame drops and stutters are common.
